My grandma is cleaning out the house in preparation for moving some place smaller. And this is one of the books she passed on to me.

Caught it at the Athens meetup last Sunday and forgot all about it until last night when I took it to bed with me (no pun intended). The jokes are somewhat dated but I found some of them surprisingly funny!

Απελευθερώθηκε λίγο πριν τις 9 το πρωί για το "Ό,τι φάμε και ό,τι πιούμε" release challenge της sofiathereader μπροστά σε ένα μανάβικο, γωνία Αστυδάμαντος και Ευφρονίου. Τι δουλειά έχει ένα βιβλίο με παλιομοδίτικα σόκιν ανέκδοτα με το φαγητό; Η απάντηση βρίσκεται στην παρακάτω ιστορία που βρήκα μέσα και τιτλοφορείται Smart tart ;-)

Smart tart

The owner οf a big furniture store went to New Υork to buy some stock and met a really beautiful girl ίn the hotel elevator. But she was French and they couldn't understand a word of each other's language.
So he took out a pencil and notebook and drew a sketch οf a taxi. She nodded her head and laughed, and they went for a ride in the park.
Then he drew a picture οί a table in a restaurant with a question mark and she nodded, so they went to dinner. After dinner he sketched two dancers and she was delighted. They went to a night club and danced and had a lovely evening.
At length she motioned for the pencil and drew a picture οf a four-poster bed.
He was dumbfounded. He's never been able to figure out how she knew he was in the furniture business.
