This wasn't the strongest story, especially following "Espresso Shot." I liked the holiday theme, and the premise, but the characters just didn't ring true. Although I did enjoy spending more time with Esther, it felt like the conflict between Matt and Breanne and Clare and Mike was manufactured. And just how many times can Clare be admitted to the hospital in the course of one book? I did learn something about frothing milk and how to make chocolate covered cherries from the expanded appendix at the back, so that added a point to my rating.
