The History of Love
1 journaler for this copy...
A beautiful book that I came across by chance but I loved it so much I had to go find another copy in a charity shop to release to the world, as I wanted to keep my original copy. This one has an inscription "Lisbon Aug 2006" and a sticker possibly from a bookshop in Lisbon - so maybe this book has already travelled as I got it in Dublin.
A dual story of an elderly Jewish man who survived WWII, but at a huge cost, and a teenage girl who is watching her family disintegrate after the death of her father, and the book that connects them. Although it sounds impossibly sad (and at times, it is), it is not a depressing one - beautiful is the word to descripe it. I hope that whoever catches this book is as enchanted and as moved by it as I was. Happy reading!
