Picked this up cheaply at a second hand table at the African Craft Market. Have enjoyed other books of hers, but have not read this one yet.
From the back: "This rich and moving novel traces the lives of two black heroines from their close-knit childhood in small town Ohio, through their sharply divergent paths of womanhood, to their ultimate confrontation and reconciliation."

Was a pretty good book--- disarming it ins casual language, for all that it deals with real visceral and intense emotions. Morrison is a great writer. Sula and Nell were both infuriating and inspiring in their own ways. Lots of interesting little quirks and characters in the book (ie: Suicide DAy, the deweys, Eva, etc...). Very good.
