Journal Entry 1 by starrdust from Cookstown, Ontario Canada on Sunday, May 11, 2008
From the back cover: "On an ordinary morning, Maria Colson takes her baby son Dylan to the corner store. She only turns her back for a few seconds. When she looks again, the stroller is empty, and her terrified child is being shoved into a waiting van that vanishes without a trace. Seattle Mirror reporter Jason Wade is under a lot of pressure to bring in a big story, and the Colson kidnapping could be it. It's certainly a bizarre case with pieces that don't add up: The Colsons are a hard-working couple. Former high school sweethearts. No problems. No enemies. The sort of people who shouldn't have any connection to a grisly, unsolved murder..."

Journal Entry 3 by starrdust from Cookstown, Ontario Canada on Monday, July 21, 2008
This book kept me turning the pages and trying to determine why & how the crimes were committed along with 'who done it' in some instances. As this is a Canadian Author and a new author for me to read, I held back on releasing this book for the 2008 Canada Day Challenge to give me time to read it first. Certainly a few twists and turns along the way...the chapters are short which keeps one moving from character to character in some ways; and I liked the idea of working through the crime story along with Jason Wade the newspaper reporter. I'm not convinced that Rick Mofina will be one of my favourite authors, and am not totally sold on his writing style, but enjoyed this book enough that I'll read another of his novels when I get the chance.
