About a Boy

This is another entertaining book from Nick Hornby. Not quite as funny as High Fidelity, but still funny, and a stronger novel overall in my opinion. This is love story between a shallow self-absorbed bachelor and the confused twelve year old boy he meets by chance and comes to care about.
Filled with wit and music, Hornby is in his top form here and High Fidelity fans will also enjoy the short visit the main character makes to Championship Vinyl - my only complaint is that like most Hornby novels it goes on a little bit too long. Still, immensely enjoyable and worth reading.

It was funny and good and it makes me want to see the movie now. I can really see Hugh Grant playing this part.
Chris gave this back to me after she finished it so it is available for another bookcrosser if anyone is interested...
I am sending this to fellow bookcrosser jennyo-enjoy!!
