Beim Treffen am Donnerstagnachmittag mitgenommen

Ich hatte das Buch schon vor einiger Zeit gelesen - jetzt kommt es mal wieder ins Cafe Alabama.

I couldn't leave the book in the OBCZ and so it followed me to Dresden. I heard so much about the movie - I acually never saw.
Now it will have to wait a little bit before reading.

An old Lady in a Nursery Home tells a visitor a bit of her own story and takes her back to the times when the KuKluxClan terrorized whole cities and raceism is daily life.
A brilliantly told story with excellent charakters.

I LOVED this book! So well done. Some important issues explored without preaching. Good characters, interesting tales.

So I snarfed this one up quick smart when I saw it. Will press it on some unwary reader.

Picked up at the Canberra Book Crossing meeting at the Life Line book fair on Saturday. looking forward to reading this one.

Enjoyed this book. Came across the video in the public library just after finishing the book. very interesting to see the changes they made to fit the story into movie length presentation

Picked up at our monthly BookCrossing meet held this time at King O'Malley's Pub in Civic, ACT. Thank you beli-jg and those who have gone before you.

An enjoyable read that became better as the book progressed. The different strings of the story came together giving a satisfactory ending. I am tempted to try a few of the recipes, although some of the ingredients are new to me, or would be difficult to find in Australia. Cornstarch, cornmeal, corn syrup and hot red pepper flakes would be difficult to find, and I have no idea what Crisco and grits are (but then there’s always the internet).

I took this book to my local BookCrossing meet, held this time at Floriade flower festival in Parkes, ACT, but no-one took it. Besides, most of the people there had already read and enjoyed it. I will try to find another reader.
