I didn't enjoy this book as much as Ella Minnow Pea, but it was still very good, with the interconnections between characters (and plot lines) skilfully woven (although sometimes too skilfully - once I realised the way the end of each short chapter and the beginning of the next was connected, I found myself being distracted from the story because I kept going back to spot where the connection was this time).
