Roses Journal
15 journalers for this copy...
I will write in this journal a brief message about myself and why I am releasing it...then put it out in my neighborhood for others to write in. I hope it will eventually be sent back to me to see how far it has traveled...and what wit and wisdom has been added to it.

I left this journal at a resort near my home for months. No one picked it up. So I retrieved it. Will send with some other books to casseytara this week. Maybe it will do better with private releases to other bookcrossers. Am anxious to anxious to see where it travels and when it will return to me.
Came today with a couple of surprise books! Will definitely write in it and pass on!
I've had this journal since November 21 and haven't gotten around to it yet! I'm so sorry Portias! I'm going to go ahead and send it on to someone else so it can get moving! So it's off to Jas330 in Washington!
I wish I could change the status to "to be wrote" -- hehe. Anyways, recieved this in the mail today, will write in it and then pass it along. :-)
Bennett Springs -- neato that's my last name (well half of it is). Shhhh don't tell.

Well if Aramena is sorry for how long she kept it, I'm even more sorry. I will bring it to my meetup tonight and see if anybody wants it.
What a surprise! This book has made it to Denver, Colorado (well, the suburbs, anyway). I got it yesterday afternoon (when the site was down) with a package of Janette Oke books my pal Jas had borrowed.
I'll write in it shortly, and then hang on to it until I either meet with another BookCrosser or have something to send out . . . to someone I think will enjoy playing.
It's a beautiful journal, portias -- this is the kind I buy for myself, too. My only 2 criteria are ever lines and spiral binding so it can lay flat :)
*Edited to add a picture of the Aspen turning, something the mountains of Colorado are famous for. This was not an unusual day for us last fall, as we jumped in the vehicle after work (I'm done at 3) and ran up for some 4-wheeling and to see the "fall color". This quick-out-the-window shot with my cheap camera phone always surprises me by its beauty.

I didn't think I'd have someone to hand this off to so soon, but the most serendipitous thing happened. Tnkbl, author of The Prince's Diary and a friend from BookCrossing is in my town this weekend for a wedding, and I get to meet her! We're having dinner at the Appaloosa Grill, and I'll give her this journal then.
Thanks for sharing, portias -- the pictures you put in are lovely!
Safe travels, little journal :)
edited to add: duh . . . I didn't give this to tnkbl. First, I forgot to put it in my bag when I went downtown. I took 3 books for her, several for releasing, and ... . not this. Then I thought I could drop it at her hotel sometime over the weekend, but she's getting married in two weeks and doesn't need the added stress of remembering where she put this book! So instead, it's going to Switzerland with me this weekend. Hope it has a passport!

This journal and I both made it through customs :) We're here in beautiful Zürich, and going to meet 2 (maybe 3!) Swiss BookCrossers for coffee or tea this afternoon. YAY! I'll hand it off then.
I'll be writing a journal entry about my trip over on my LiveJournal later. When it's updated, I'll edit this entry with the link.

Well, I wrote my bit a few weeks ago, but have been poorly since so had to wait to send this on. I am hoping to send it to one of my bookring buddies in the next week or so.

And now you've reached Wales, Portias! I'm delighted to have your little Journal visit here with me because I have a similar Journal travelling round the World at the moment so I have a great interest in Journals!
I'll try and think of something interesting to write in it over the next couple of days and then send it on its way ... perhaps to another country.

I finally managed to read everything and to write a bit about myself, now I'm just thinking about where to send it to next?
There are still quite a few pages left, but I hope this journal gets back to you in the next few months portias, I'm sure you will enjoy reading through it, and all the nice pictures and postcards everybody has put in!

Journal Entry 30 by KanaPoutz from Cannes, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur France on Wednesday, April 5, 2006
I've passed the journal on to Bacicoline, who lives in Paris. We met through BC and became friends, and she visited me last week-end. Had a lot of fun, we drove to Italy (only 40 minutes away) and to a few places, had lots of nice things to eat, and attended the 1st ever BC meet-up in Nice! We were 8, which is not bad, I thought!

Bacicoline passed this on to me, still in Paris, and I apologise for the length of time I've had it! I will try to send it on its merry way without too much more delay.
Just a quick JE to say that the book is safe with me. bacicoline (who got it back from parisreader) gave it to me just a few months ago with the mission to give it to a bookcrosser from Toulouse (where I live). I completely forgot it.
Will try to do it ASAP
