OOOH.. this did not disappoint. I like this story. The vampire world that this is set in is different than most. The vampires don't drink from humans usually since human blood is not as 'nutritious' as vampire blood. Vampirism is not passed to humans but rather a transition that occurs at about age 25. There are lessers, soulless humans that hunt vampires.
This is the first in a series of books of the Black Dagger Brotherhood. This story centers on Wrath, the last of the line of vampire kings, and Beth, the half-human daughter of Darius. Darius and Wrath both belong to the Brotherhood and Wrath is asked to take care of Beth during her transition after Darius is killed by a lesser. Romance and action ensue. Very good, quick read.
Will give to a friend to read and then release.
