From the publisher:
When I was a kid, my parents took me to all sorts of specialists to find out what was wrong with me. I wasn't afraid of anything, not spiders, snakes, heights, wild animals--nothing. That's when they figured out that if there was a fear gene, I was missing it. So I guess you could say I'm fearless. Like if I see some big guy beating up a little guy I just dive in and finish off the big one--and I can, because my dad trained me to. He figured if I was going to keep getting myself into trouble I might as well have the skills to protect myself. And my dad knows trouble--he's in the CIA. At least I think is. I haven't seen or heard from him since, well, since something happened that changed our lives forever. Anyway, you'd think because I'm fearless my life would be pretty great, right? Wrong. In fact, if I had three wishes, one of them would be to know fear. Because without fear, I'll never know if I'm truely brave. That wouldn't be my first wish, though--my first wish would be to have my dad back. For obvious reasons. My last wish...well that's kind of embarrassing. I'd like to end my unlucky seventeen-year stint as Gaia-the-Unkissed. Do I have anyone in mind? Yeah. But I'm beginning to think it'll never happen...
