I can see why this is a school text as there can be hours of discussion unpicking the story and characters. I can well imagine being asked to write an essay comparing Boo and Mayella Ewell's family life/upbringing (or Boo and Lenny from Of Mice and Men) etc...

It's a great book. I loved Scout and that it was written in the first person from her POV.
