Got this in a bookring. I made a promise to read more poetry in 2010, so this will be a good start!
So I did meet my goal of listening to this in 2010...and I have to say that it was my first real introduction to Whitman's poetry - or at least a lot of it. Some of it so pervades our culture that of course I it was familiar. Other poems were completely new. I enjoyed the many well-known readers. This will either go into an audiobook box, or be passed along to my friend and fellow bookcrosser Janova.

A nice quick listen of poetry by one of America's greatest poets by a whole wide variety of people. very enjoyable - I got an expanded understanding of his works by hearing this....
