many thanks grooble!! never heard of this book, but the back cover blurb sounds interesting, so looking forward to checking it out.

what a wonderful and surprising story "bel canto" was!! as elements were introduced, i worried that ann patchett might not be able to control them - i mean, opera and terrorism as well as many nationalities and different personalities is a lot to weave together, and that's before the agendas of various characters are revealed - but her writing and story-telling technique was flawless. a real joy to read! thanks so much for another gem, grooble!
