Received in the post over the weekend. Will be reading shortly and posting on to supertayla.

08/16/2008 Will be finished reading this one this evening. What a great read, I wish I was able to attend the Friday Night Knitting Club. The characters were very real and flawed, which I loved, perfection is a mistake!

I would love to have myself a James at this moment.

Looks like fun. I just received it in the post today.

I was able to read this one quickly. I loved it and kept thinking how it would make a great chick-flick. I could have done without the last 60 or so pages. :-( Keep tissues handy.

I've read a lot of knitting-themed fiction in the last few years, and this book was about in the middle; I've liked some books better and some have been worse. A real middle-of-the-road kind of story. I hear there is going to be a film adaptation with Julia Roberts playing Georgia; at least she's a real knitter who will bring authenticity to the role.

Off to dvg for the next leg.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

Kate Jacobs is a new author for me and I really enjoyed her book. I thought it was going to be like the Blossom Street series by Debbie Macomber which I enjoyed. It is in the sense that their is a yarn shop and friends, but that is all that is similar. These characters are so much more real, flawed and interesting. Their struggles are more real and the friendships go through trials.

I found that I was reading this slower because I wanted to truly get to know these characters. Note that the ending was not predictable at all.

I recommend this book. I just read in the November 2008 Bookpage that the sequel is coming out! I think it is called "Knit Two!" I'm looking forward to it.

I swear I'm going to learn to knit. Bought the needles and a book. Going to try the scarf pattern included in the book.

Thank you MyssCyn for sharing this book with me. I will be sending to mellion108 in the morning. Happy reading. =D

This was an ok read—nothing spectacular, but a decent story. I think I'll pass on the sequel, but I'm glad that I got the chance to read this one. Thanks for sharing!

Have PMd spoiledrotten for an address and will ship this out as soon as I can.

Finished this last night and I must agree with Myss Cyn, I enjoyed it but it didn't keep my interest up and I too had a little difficulty getting through it. I will also probably skip the sequel. Thanks for including me and I am just waiting for instructions from Myss Cyn to either wild release or continue on. Thanks so much for including me.

9 out of 10

Thanks for sending this book to me! I'm excited to read it, and I'll pass it on to another bookcrosser as soon as I'm finished.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story because the characters are a wonderful group of "fighters" who didn't let the adversity in their lives cut them down. It's to the credit of the author that I felt drawn into this group of women and felt like part of their circle of friends. Very well done! A what a nice legacy Georgia built for her daughter and her friends! Lovely! I'm going to add the sequel to my wish list, as it was to me a more intense version of the Debbie Macomber Blossom Street series of which I am a devoted fan.
