Journal Entry 1 by hippolein from Helsinki, Uusimaa Finland on Friday, April 18, 2008
Amazon.co.uk Review Serge Storms and his dope-smoking pal Lenny are back in Dorsey's newest Florida caper, a manic comic novel that's as bipolar as its protagonist and almost as incoherent. It has something to do with Serge's quest to find some missing diamonds and solve the 40-year-old riddle of his grandfather's murder, which not at all coincidentally seems tied into a 1964 heist that made a robber named Murph the Surf and a stone called the Star of India famous. Dorsey's pacing, plotting and flashbacks are as out of control as his characters, who include a couple of Mafia capos, a few FBI agents and some hapless and quite unlucky conventioneers, but Serge's rants do provide the reader with a colourful cultural history of south Florida. --Jane Adams, Amazon.com

Journal Entry 3 by Nauris at Helsinki, Uusimaa Finland on Sunday, June 19, 2011
Last week I caught this book near the entrance of Kirjasto 10. There were many BC-books and this looked so ridiculous that I picked this up and was certain that I'm not going to read something that looks like this...but if a book is reviewed to be "wacko" it can't be all bad ? 8.2.12 I've started reading this as a part of my SIY #19-challenge (http://www.bookcrossing.com/forum/6/469175).

It probably looked too wacko to be picked up from the Cable Factory, so the mule is moving it to the Street Fesival of Arabia.
