My wife really, really enjoyed this... I haven't read it yet, but I think that I will soon.

Many of the early chapters hurt my little head. It was all very interesting, but the review and re-reviewing each chapter got to be a little much. It was too textbooky that way. Still, after much starting and stopping and digesting, I made it to the modern chapters where things picked up wonderfully well and the book became harder to put down... although I absolutely had to stop and digest the stuff two or three times each of the remaining chapters.

What a great class this would have been to have taken.
