This has been on my wish list since I saw it in WHSmith a few months ago. On offer so had to buy it.

From the back:
It's really going to happen. They said it would, but this is quicker than anyone thought.

Everyone has to die. We all know it.

With only a few months of life left, sixteen-year-old Tessa knows it better than most.

She's made a list though - ten things she wants to do before she dies. Number one is sex. Starting tonight.

But getting what you want isn't easy. And getting what youwant doesn't always give you what you need. And sometimes the most unexpected things become important.

What an absolutely brilliant book!! The writing is spot on and the characters are just so wonderfully natural. In spite of the subject (16 year old girl with terminal leukemia) it is an enjoyable read.

I recommend this book to anyone.

I really enjoyed this book, I was a bit doubtful as I started to read it but once I got into it I could not put it down and by the end I was crying! The book is very well written and it does make you think about what you would do and how it would effect you if it was your child. Thanks for sending out the ring I have sent this book on to Inver (Wed 04/06)

Journal Entry 7 by Inver from Aberdeen, Scotland United Kingdom on Thursday, June 5, 2008

Journal Entry 8 by Inver from Aberdeen, Scotland United Kingdom on Thursday, June 12, 2008
I too didn't like the start of the book but continued on. The more I read the more I got into the storyline. The characters were very down to earth and real. I so wanted to cuddle Cal and tell him everything would be alright. You really did feel for what Tess was/had to go through and how it was affecting those nearsest and dearest. I thought from Chapter 37 onwards she really had to come to terms with her condition and knew she couldn't get better. A book you definitely need tissues for. Very descriptive towards the end, but spot on (speaking from experience of losing a loved one).

Thanks for sharing this book Jive-Monster.Have the address for Wandering-B will get it in the post ASAP.

Good book! I enjoyed watching Tess come to terms with her future. Her decisions on what was most important and appropriate to put on her to-do list was both amusing and heart-rending. I've not read a book which used the devices the end of this one did - the snipets of thoughts spaced further apart. Quite moving. Thanks again to Jive-Monster for sending this one out. Posting onward today.

This was a excellent read. I was reading it on the bus, too near the end and had to stop because of the tears running down my cheeks. Poignant. Tender. Realistic.

I will be sending this on its way next week. Thank you for sharing.
