The Adventures of Tom Sawyer

The blurb:
'THE ADVENTURES OF TOM SAWYER has endeared its hero to untold millions of readers. It is a tribute to the genius of Mark Twain that Tom Sawyer's name has become synonymous with the typical red-blooded American boy; enterprising, ingenious, mischievous, courageous and kind.
THE ADVENTURES OF TOM SAWYER recaptures the magic of Tom's boyhood in a small 19th-century Missouri town perched on the banks of the mighty Mississippi. Here to enjoy and store in memory are the unforgettable experiences and events and friends that make up that boyhood: Tom's pirate gang, his maneuvers to outwit Aunt Polly, his friendship with the disreputable Huck Finn, his prize collection of Sunday School tickets, the white-washing of the fence, and Injun Joe and Becky Thatcher - all testifying that American literature would be a much poorer thing without them.
THE ADVENTURES OF TOM SAWYER is a very real part of the heritage of America.'
This is a paperback copy from Dell, published in 1963, 11th printing 1973.
The book was first published in 1876.

RELEASE NOTES:
I passed this book to sota48 at the BC meetup in Oslo today. She will give it to a coworker to wild release on my behalf in East Timor!! later this month, as part of my 'send a book to every country' project.
This will be updated as I get the necessary info about where & when the book was actually released.
April 8th: Heard from sota48 today that the book will be released in ten days, on April 18th, somewhere called Dili. I think it's the capital of East Timor. Update will follow ... :-)

I picked up the book in a little pub in Dili, East Timor. I've wanted to read since I was a boy and the experience was worth the wait.
