Journal Entry 1 by indygo88 from Lafayette, Indiana USA on Thursday, April 03, 2008
This will be a "Best of BC" bookbox, meaning primarily that the participants are some of BookCrossing's best (in my humble opinion), but also that the books will (hopefully) be some of the best. There's no particular theme for this box -- just what you consider good, quality books or at least books that you think someone else will be interested in. No limitations on genre (other than the obvious no romance, travel guides, or other craziness, etc.). General courtesy guidelines apply, primarily being the following: please pass the box along in a timely manner, replace the box if necessary (writing the BCID# somewhere inside the lid or somewhere visible), don't take out more books than you put in, and please make an online journal entry when you've received the box & again when you ship it off to the next person. If you've participated in boxes of mine before, you know that I usually like the arriving books to be surprises, so please DO NOT list the names of the books you're putting in or taking out (although I would like you to do so in the journal that's enclosed in the box itself). Do feel free, however, to list the number of books you're exchanging in your journal entries here. Please send a PM my way if something comes up or you have a concern. I'm excited about this box, am excited that everyone invited has agreed to join (woo-hoo!), & I hope everyone can find at least a couple books to remove to make the postage worthwhile. Mailing order: msjoanna (NY) time-traveler (NY) sweetsangria (OR) jenptcfan (AR) LGinder (CA) mrsjones (OH) chambejd (MA) Bluestocking88 (WA) indygo88 (IN)

Journal Entry 2 by indygo88 from Lafayette, Indiana USA on Sunday, April 27, 2008
I had a lot of trouble deciding what to include & what to save for later . . . I could've done two boxes, I think! I was able to cram 19 books into this one. If this goes fairly well, I will likely do a round #2 sometime later this year, so keep that in mind if you think you might be interested. Box is ready to be shipped to msjoanna tomorrow!

Journal Entry 4 by msjoanna from Columbia, Missouri USA on Friday, May 09, 2008
This was mailed today to time-traveler. This box is fairly heavy -- I think it was slightly more than $8 to mail media mail -- but full of good books. I switched out three of the books on this stop.

Journal Entry 11 by LGinder on Thursday, June 05, 2008
Ever have one of those days ... you wake up with a headache, don't feel like doing anything (well besides read that is), discover your cabinet under your kitchen sink is floating so you have to call a plumber who in their four window time frame makes you sit at home ... and then the sun is shining, plumber is finishing up (with only a $55 co pay no less!) and the POSTMAN ARRIVES WITH A BOOKCROSSING BOX.... the day has been saved! This box is full of great books. I'll pm the next in line, replace the box as it's getting rather shabby and have it back in the mail maybe as early as tomorrow. Delivery confirmation will follow when it's mailed. Thanks everyone!

BC's best definitely know good books when they read them! There are some real goodies in here. I'll have to go through them again and make my choices and see how many I have to add.

I've got Middlesex! I've got Middlesex! This book has eluded me to date, and I'm so glad to find it in this box. This box has arrived safely and I have a little stack I am mulling over. The selection is very good, which only makes the choices harder. I hope to get it moving shortly.

It's here! -- my box has made it home safe & sound with lots of great books! Thanks to all of you for passing it along quickly...it traveled its course & back again in just slightly over 3 months. Yay!!! I'll be journaling books shortly. I would love to do this again in a few more months, as I think I have (& will have more) good books to pass along. If you think you would too, keep me in mind & start collecting some more "Best of BC" books! :')
