When Leo Pizzola returns from America to Santo Fico - a tiny, forgotten village in Tuscany - he discovers more than the vineyard of his childhood has been left untended. There's Marta, Leo's first and only true love, who will barely speak to him now; Topo his once trusting but now leery best friend; and Father Elio, the village's pillar of faith who is experiencing a spiritual crisis all of his own. When Leo and Topo are forced to orchestrate a series of man-made miracles - each more botched than the last 0- the end results are truly - mraculous.
In this debut novel, D.L Smith's consummate storytelling skills bring to the reader a tale full of the timeless themes of love and miracles, and a handful of endearingly eccentric characters.
Will be read and bookcrossed.

I have had a tidy up of my house and found this book. I am assuming I picked it up at a Wellington meet up some time between 2013 and early 2015 (when I stopped attending them).
Plan to read this in the early 2016, to cover Italy for the 2016 666 challenge (read 6 books from six different countries in six different continents).

A holiday read, which was a bit all over the place...part mystery, part farce, part romance and star crossed lovers. The cover doesn't really fit any of the styles.
Passed to -tui- to read.

My family found this book yesterday at the bottom of the statue of Richard Seddon at the Beehive in Wellington, NZ, on our family vacation. How exciting to take it on its next adventure. Off back home to sunny Nelson!
Will read it then release it at the Centre of NZ.
