I wasn't all that interested, but then I read The Dark Tower series... and now, I must read this.

I had avoided this book for awhile. Stephen King burn-out being part of the reason. The other part of the reason was the nostallgic Ray Bradbury scent that seemed to drift from it. Not that I don't like Bradbury... but 600 pages of it?

Well, obviously, I didn't know what this book was about. For one thing, it's not a novel. It's two novellas and three short stories, but I didn't know that until I was like 300 pages in. I was terribly afraid when the tense shifted that I wandered into another Christine, but thankfully NO. These are good stories, only two of which touch on fantasy (the first and last) and they all sorta of follow Carol Gerber... from a distance.

I have to admit, I only really read the book because I was hooked on the Dark Tower series. Ted had been in Dark Tower and he was from this book, so here I am. :-). I really enjoyed my visit, although I still don't know what to really make out about the Blind Willy story.

Well, maybe Wikipedia will clue me in.
