Picked this up from the Lions $1 Booksale, now there's a danger for people who already have a towering TBR!

I'd heard a bit about this series of books and as a fan of the Cat Who.. series I figured cats plus mysteries = good. And the ones in this book talk (to each other and other animals). They carry very intelligent conversations!

On the whole I found this a pretty fantastic book with characters I could like and enjoy reading more about. Some parts about farming practices or trucks I found a little bit boring but a little bit of what makes the characters tick and what they are passionate about adds a bit of background to the book.


I'll be searching out more of these books now to read the adventures of Harry, Mrs Murphy, Pewter and Tucker!
