Journal Entry 1 by turnpages from Faversham, Kent United Kingdom on Sunday, March 23, 2008
The vast wooden disk known as "King Arthur's Round Table" has hung on the wall of the Great Hall of Winchester Castle for over 600 years. But what is it? Was it a table? When was it made? Why is it on a wall? When was it painted with the famous image it bears? The book investigates....

Journal Entry 3 by seethroughfaith from Turku, Varsinais-Suomi Finland on Friday, April 04, 2008
Thank you for this lovely MASSIVE HARDBACK RABCK. I just collected it from the postoffice! (I can't begin to think - or would rather not - of how much this must have cost you to post from the UK! and really want to thank you for your generosity in sending this to me. I'm no historian - but as I flicked through the book just now - I got really interested in the topic - the round table that is on display in Winchester Cathedral. I'll be sure to let you know what I think of the book, though unfortunately I can't start reading this just yet. I thought you'd like to know too, that I've actually been to Winchester and seen the table in the cathedral - a long, long time ago.

Journal Entry 4 by seethroughfaith from Turku, Varsinais-Suomi Finland on Friday, April 04, 2008
My bookcrossing friend Potok-Fan just popped round to see me - so I've lent her and Mr Potok-Fan this book as a "very welcome distraction" to their otherwise busy lives! I know they are going to enjoy it - and once I've read it too - maybe we'll meet up to discuss it. Thanks again turnpages for the opportunity to read and share this lovely book

Journal Entry 5 by potok-fan from Turku, Varsinais-Suomi Finland on Wednesday, April 09, 2008
Sorry stf, for not journalling one or two books you have recently lent me. I was totally not expecting this and must be careful that it doesn't distract us too much from lots of other pressures and commitments at the moment. But it does look interesting!

Yikes! I can't believe we've had this book for a year already. I'm going to move it to the coffee table, and then whether or not we've read it it's going back to stf within a month. There.

Journal Entry 7 by potok-fan from Turku, Varsinais-Suomi Finland on Saturday, October 10, 2009
"Within a month", I said, and that was back in April. Well, I returned it today. Still largely unread. It looked so interesting, but there was always something else clamoring for our attention, and this book always seemed to lose the toss. Pity. Well past time to get it moving again. Thanks anyway, stf!
