Oh, thank-you! I received this in today's mail and am anxious to read it as I've very much enjoyed a couple other books by Bill Bryson.

Although I have plenty of other reading I "should" be doing for various reasons (mainly the Olympic Challenge), I've been picking this up when I have a few spare minutes between things because I just can't resist Bill Bryson's humorous take on the world. I was not disappointed as he turned his view on everything from teatime ("to this day, I remain impressed by the ability of Britons of all ages and social backgrounds to get genuinely excited by the prospect of a hot beverage") to souvenir shops, architecture, food, trains, and much more.

I'm not sure how or when I'll pass this on, but I enjoyed it too much to keep it to myself. I may see if my parents would like to read it, as they spent some time in England many years ago.
