Tom Bianchi is a well-known photographer of male nudes; some of his shots are stylized, some intimate, some seriously steamy - all wonderful to look at. This book, however, features a different CAT-egory of nudes [sorry!] - Bianchi devotes this book to his handsome Abyssinian cat Dickens. There's a bit of text up front, explaining how "Ukute Little Dickens" became part of the household, but most of the book consists of wonderful cat-pics: blurred ones of Dickens and senior cat Ingrid playing "Speed Cat and Thunder Paws," coy ones of Dickens filching bacon off of someone's breakfast plate, artsy ones of Dickens looking at his own photograph, and stunningly beautiful portrait shots... If you're one of the cat-besotted you may want to look up a copy of this!

This book is adorable! I received it in the mail yesterday, and immediately opened it up and read it. It doesn't take long, since it's actually mostly pictures. It is definitely a cat lover's book.

I am about to PM the next person on the list for her address, but I know I will go through the book again at least once more before mailing it.

Dickens is just the cutest thing! I think this may be the first time (other than registering a book myself) that I've read a book before I did a journal entry. But who could resist putting everything aside to admire these lovely photographs of a lovely cat?

Off to ladyof unicorns, another cat-loving BookCrosser (or is that redundant?).

I just loved this book! Some of those pictures remind me of my own 5 year old kitten Misti! Especially the blurred action shots! I just loved it! I read it through a few times...The closet pictures remind me of my kitten and my roommy's cat... The "My Grass!" ones ...so cute! That is about the size difference between my little one and my roommy's....Misti is small like Dickens and Lucy is a little larger like Ingrid...

Beautiful book...will be sending this out next weekend to the next on the list...

This arrived in the letter box today. While we haven't yet had a chance to thoroughly explore the book, a quick glance at the beautiful photos of the beautiful Abyssinian tells us that this one is a "10".

Thank you, thank you. We'll read, enjoy and pass along. It does so remind us of our sweet, dear Attilla (an Abyssinian of great character) who we lost this spring.

We so enjoyed this book. We looked at the beautiful photographs often and were reminded of our own Abyssinian. We have held onto it far too long and it has work to do.

So...this special book has been sent on in search of its destiny. The Canada Post corporation took custody of it today and it should reach its destination shortly.

We do hope that you will derive as much joy from this book as we did.

ps - a special thanks to GoryDetails for getting this one started. You're a peach.

Sent by Gorser in Canada and received in France in ten days! Superb photos of Dickens the Aby. Completely taken in by Bianci's pic which capture the spirit of these very special cats. So much of what you see Dickens do (and do to Ingrid) fits with our young Leo. 'I Cougar you Holsteiner' is what Leo says to Hay as well. A joy!
