In the Pristine mountain wilderness of the Pacific Northwest Judge Westcott raised his four motherless children and foster son with the rugged independence, patient strength, and wise humor he inherited from his own pioneer ancestors. The years passed. Rapacious forces of greed advanced on the countryside.
