From flap of a different edition: "Stephanie Plum has problems. Grandma Mazur's gambling partner, Eddie Dachooch, was found toes-up on his kitchen floor, dead from a shotgun blast. But when Grandma goes to the viewing, she doesn't recognize the man in the casket. She drags Stephanie along to find the missing dead body. But Stephanie's mind is on other matters because she has two proposals to consider: vice cop Joe Morelli is proposing marriage, and fellow bounty hunter Ranger is proposing a single perfect night...The seventh Stephanie Plum novel drops Stephanie into a smorgasbord of murder, kidnapping, and extortion as well as a sensuouse buffet of fast cars, fast men, and fast food."

Received this in the mail today as part of HeresDeb's Fill My US Map RABCK drawing. Thank you so much! I had originally thought to put this our at one of our OBCZs. However, I was talking to antof9, who lives in Colorado, (which is currently not on HeresDeb's Map) when the package arrived. This is probably a good thing, because ant informed me this book is on her wishlist, and gave strong hints that she'd be willing to accept it should I wish to pass it on.

As I adore antof9, I will do so! One RABCK deserves another! Deb, cross off Colorado, too!

Colorado bound!

Journal Entry 5 by Antof9 from Lakewood, Colorado USA on Tuesday, April 29, 2008
WOO HOO! It's in Colorado now, and ... it might even travel to Seattle with me when I go on a surprise visit to see my sister next weekend. I'll have to see how much room there is for books, and if I can read 1-6 by then! (and if I have them -- I currently have 2 and 3 and have read 5 and 10 -- long story)

Thanks Czukie, and Deb too!

Journal Entry 6 by Antof9 from Lakewood, Colorado USA on Monday, July 7, 2008
Read 2, 3 and 7 over the holiday weekend so I could trade them with a friend for 11, 12 and 13. This may be the first series I ever read out of order!

I have to say that Stephanie's bumbling did get a little bit old in this one, but she's still pretty entertaining and good for diversion while laying in the sun :) Lula also continues to crack me up. And Ranger? He scares me a bit.

Being shang-hai'd by her mother is also understandable. I wonder what's up with the sister in this one. Favorite part? Probably the Art Garfunkel references about Stephanie dying her hair blonde.

Thanks for sharing this, ladies! I'm passing it on to a friend of BookCrossing who hasn't been convinced to join yet :)
