A joint effort box from the combined shelves of lellie and MrRedhouse. Hopefully this will be perpetual, we'll see how log we can keep it going.

Just a few rules.
1. No Mills & Boon types, no sci-fi,fantasy or childrens books and easy on the chick-lit.
2.As this is a combined box, please try and be aware of the contents and maintain the balance.
3. Please, please don't let this get too big. It needs to stay in a box no bigger than the one it starts out in.

Now for the victims.

1. Sterile
2. DSP
3. NICNIC2
4. arturogrande
5. raeliz64
6. jazz-ee2
7. Amber-moon
8.soffitta1
9. katrinat
10. Tubereader
11 turnpages
12. RuthyToothy

Then back to lellie and round we go again.

What's in the box?

As always a delightful book from the combined forces of MrRedhouse and Lellie. Even the card that came with the bcid in is lovely! I do appeciate Moorcroft but can't afford any pieces of my own.

Taking out of the box:

David Morrell - Double Image for 'is lordship
Longitude - for the Manchester meetup group (will come back with me if not taken)
Susan Howatch - The High Flyer
Candida Crewe - The Last to Know (reminds me of the missing postman by Mark Wallington, but more serious I think)

Having a ganders at what to put back in and pming DSP.
Ta!!

The box arrived safely while I was away. Sorry it took long to journal.

The box is great! I have almost decided what to take out and put in so will be shipping it shortly.

Turnpages has a message in their profile asking to be skipped on ring / rays / boxes until the middle of August so, as I will have to post the box before that, I have PMed RuthyToothy instead.

Thanks lellie for putting this together and to the previous participants for their contributions!

AUGUST 11 UPDATE: RuthyToothy cannot receive the box before the middle of the month either, as I am going away myself as well, I have PMed turnpages so I will post the box to them as soon as both of us are back (hopefully beg of the week starting on the 18th).

Journal Entry 20 by Tubereader from Lenningen / Lenneng, Kanton Remich Luxembourg on Saturday, August 16, 2008
I have made my choices from the box and decided what to put in in exchange.

I am taking out:
- Breakfast at Tiffany's
- Fingersmith
- Persepolis

Thanks katrinat as all of them were put in by you!

I am putting in:
- Trading reality (more "his")
- The lover (more "hers)
- The bugatti queen (can be both "his" because of the racing cars or "hers" because it's the biography of a woman)

Thanks a lot to lellie and MrRedhouse for putting together this great box.

turnpages has asked to be skipped now, so I will be posting this to RuthyToothy on Monday.

The bookbox arrived this morning - it's the first box I've been involved in, and I was very excited to open it up, it almost felt like Christmas! I was extremely pleased with the contents, hubbie and I have had a good rummage and have decided to pull out 6 books. We'll have a shuftie through our shelves to find some replacements, and then I'll post again with the "ins and outs" :-)

Thank you SO MUCH to Lellie MrRedhouse for organising this box, and to all the participants so far who have contributed such varied and interesting books to the selection :-)

Are you sure you want to delete this item? It cannot be undone.
