Thanks to CatsBooksEtc for the RABCK! I'll journal again and pass on to princess-peapod after I read it.
I really enjoyed this series. I had mixed emotions reading this book. I knew it was the last in the series; I wanted to finish the book yet I hated to see it end!
Thanks for letting me read this one. I'll send it on to princess-peapod as promised.

thanks for all the books, so kind of you!
To hear that this is the last in the series is a bit sad for me also. I feel like we were just finding out what made Lily Bard tick. In this book Lily joins a group to help rape survivors only to have the counselor be a victim of a stalker. The experience brings Lily to deal with her attack, feelings she still has & how it is still affecting her life. The story tries to cover a bit much for me, in places it lacks focus. However I must say it does a good job of tying up threads of stories that have been mentioned before. Not my fave of the series, but a solid ending none the less.

Our hero, Lily Bard, gets more serious with her now-husband Jack. When she waks up and finds that she has been attacking Jack in her sleep she agrees to join a therapy group for rape victims. The group is led by Tamsin Lynd and includes some women Lily already knows.
As is often the case with fictional group therapy, the group sessions are ham-handed. The leader offers advice and mantras that are obvious but somehow the words help the group members. I suspect Harris has been in some therapy groups herself but she doesn't really capture the spirit of them here.
I do continue to enjoy the abrupt, nonsocial Lily, perhaps because there is a lot of me in her. At least in her inclinations - she acts on them more than I do.
Tamsin is being stalked across three states, we learn from her, and the attacks escalate, leading to murder. While working for Jack as an investigator (Jack is a private detective), Lily peripherally thinks about the murders and considers possible suspects. She somewhat haphazardly lands upon the answer down the line, and it is rather ingenious.
We also get to watch how Lily makes efforts to deal with her rape history better, ways that do not require that she cut herself off from everyone she loves and who love her. By the end she has come a long way, and I can see why this is the close of the series - although I'd rather like to see more.
