Journal Entry 1 by cathepsut from Metzingen, Baden-Württemberg Germany on Monday, March 03, 2008
Book Description: "Aurora Teagarden's life was pretty much in order, though she wouldn't have objected to a nice relationship. All things considered, however, there wasn't anything to complain about. Then Jane Engle died. Aurora and Jane had been friends - not particularly close friends, but they'd both been members of the Real Murder Society and on occasion had shared tea, as well as an interest in crime. So Aurora was surprised to discover that she was named in Jane's will as the heir to her home and some money . . . about a half million dollars, in fact. A nice house, a lot of money . . . things were looking up nicely. But the house held a secret - a fact that was frighteningly obvious the first time Aurora went there and realized that someone had broken in, had been searching for something..." Journal Entry 2 by cathepsut from Metzingen, Baden-Württemberg Germany on Tuesday, March 18, 2008
A nice, cosy mystery. There is actually not much sleuthing going on until the end of the book. The solution is quite neat, but I guessed the who-dunnit fairly early on, motif included. So, entertaining little read for the weekend on the couch, but nothing earth-shattering. If you are new to Charlaine Harris, read the Sookie Stackhouse books first, they are much better. Update March 29: Finally sending this out to Ireland by snail mail.

Journal Entry 3 by wyvernfriend from Lucan, Co. Dublin Ireland on Monday, April 07, 2008
The second Aurora Teagarden story and she's dealing with the aftermaths of the previous story and her job not being very busy, along with cutbacks giving her a lot of time to do other things. She inherits a house and it's contents along with some money from an old friend who used to be in the crime discussion club. While looking through the house she finds a skull in a window seat and finds clues to who it is and finds that she's a target for whoever the killer is. It's a light mystery series and not terribly complicated. Fun series that I look forward to reading more of.

Journal Entry 4 by NeedSun from Perth Road, Ontario Canada on Wednesday, April 30, 2008
I am sneeking in a JE so that I can keep track of where this book is. Thank you very much, Cathy, for replacing the book that went missing. Hopefully, I can get the spiral moving along soon since these books are such nice light reading. It was pretty amazing that nothing much happened in this book. Roe found a skull, I am not giving anything away since that is on the back cover, and that was about it. You couldn't help but keep reading because Ms. Harris is such a good writer. I was never bored and ended up very interested in Roe's life. Now that I have finished the first two of this series, I will start the bookring travelling.

This second book in the Aurora Teagarden series was just as good as the first one. Lovely atmosphere, great characters, couldn't put it down. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series. I mailed this with the first book, Real Murders, to Morgaine77 a couple of weeks ago.

I absolutely loved the first one in the series, "Real Murders", so I was very much looking forward to read the sequel to it. However, I must say I was rather disappointed by this installment. The mystery was just light and the story focused more on Roe and her social life. Maybe I should take into consideration that it's an older book - but it totally got on my nerves that apparently it was a problem that Roe wasn't married. A huge chunk of the book dealt with marriage and babies and I simply missed the action. A well. Let's hope there's more blood and gore (kidding...) in the next installment!

Just finished! For someone who claims to have a dull love life, Aurora sure seems to have lots of suitors! lol! I haven't heard back from ctgmom yet, will try again, and if I don't get anything the second time, I'll move along to the next person!

Yet another update! Maples replied to me awhile back that she had already found the rest of the books except for number 5, so now I'll try Lizziwhiz! If she does not need it, or does not respond that I guess it's back to NeedSun (as I'm fairly certain that SandDanz is probably not participating at this point)!
