Amazon Editorial Review:
"Though a small town at heart, Lawrenceton, Georgia, has its dark side-and crime buffs. One of whom is librarian Aurora "Roe" Teagarden, a member of the Real Murders Club, which meets once a month to analyze famous cases. It's a harmless pastime-until the night she finds a member killed in a manner that eerily resembles the crime the club was about to discuss. And as other brutal "copycat" killings follow, Roe will have to uncover the person behind the terrifying game, one that casts all the members of Real Murders, herself included, as prime suspects-or potential victims."

Think Sookie Stackhouse without the supernatural. Nice little, cosy mystery. Affable characters, not too violent (just a little, in the description of the murder victims), and Roe is courted by two good-looking guys. So hopefully more to come in the next volume about this love triangle. Nice, quick read for the weekend.

9 out of 10

Spent my day at work reading this and had a grand time! It is an easy read and it kept me turning the pages to find out what would happen next. I am fairly new to the cozies and this is making me want to read more. I've only read one other Aurora Teagarden mystery (Last Scene Alive). Now I must read them all :)

I've got Donduckandy's addy so I'll mail this out Monday or Tuesday.

A really good cozy mystery! This had me guessing until the very end. I had no clue who the murderer was and why. I will be looking for the other books in this series. Thanks for sharing cathepsut! I'm just waiting now for the next person's address and then it will continue it's travels!

This book arrived this weekend while I was out of town, so I'm only getting around to journalling it now. I'm looking forward to reading this - I'm a fan of Harris' Sookie Stackhouse series, but I've never read anything else by her, so this will be interesting. :-)

I'll journal again when I've read the book.

6 out of 10

I've read this book, I'm just so slow to journal and let you all know about it ... ! I'm sorry. Better late than never. :-( I read this book in December, partly at my parents' house where I spent my Christmas holidays. A nice relaxing read. :-)

Generally though this book wasn't much more than that. It was OK entertainment for me and that's pretty much it. I like the Sookie books much more than this, and I don't think I'll be reading any more of this series anytime soon. It wasn't that well written (I know she can do better :-), the characters were a little one-dimensional and the plot was ... well, not too creative, let me put it like that. :-) It was entertaining enough but not in any way a standout.

I'm really glad I got the chance to read it, though, because I've been really curious about Harris' other books, after reading the Sookie series. Now I know what Aurora Teagarden's world is like too. :-) Thanks for sharing, catshepsut!! I'll be handing this book over to Findabair at the Oslo meetup on Wednesday.

Certainly this was an entertaining, light read, but it wasn't anything more than that, either. In particular I thought there were too many minor characters that weren't properly fleshed out and therefore difficult to keep track of. I also agree with Leisha Camden that the language wasn't the best (she certainly can do better!). But I'm glad to have read it - thanks for sharing, cathepsut!

I've pm'ed scotsbookie for her address and will be sending the book out as soon as I can.
