-----------------

This is one of those old-fashioned sci-fi novels from the sixties that I couldn't pass up when I saw it. It's a discarded library paperback. Raymond F. Jones is a new author for me so I decided to give this a try.

FROM INSIDE THE BOOK:
His consciousness slowly returned. And then John Wilkins remembered.

He was killed in an auto crash on a mountainside.

And now he was a brain, a cybernetic control brain. He pictured the naked cortex of his brain, a grayish-white, wrinkled thing shot through with strands of capillaries. That was his embodiment. All else has been sheared away. Only the thinking, living core of him remained.

But everyone knew that cybernetic brains were dead things.

The horror struck him - THEN HOW COULD HE BE LIVING?

This was fun to read. I always love the endings to this kind of older sci-fi.
