I really enjoyed this book. I used to really get into King because of the delicious horror thrills. I think this and Cell still have all of those old thrills, but it doesn't leave me with that "afraid to be in the dark" feeling anymore. I started to think it was the author, but I am pretty sure it is just me. What used to scare me doesn't anymore. There are too many real life horrible things in the news everyday to be frightened by zombies or the undead. That said, I still love the books. I think King makes his characters real and personable. They have their little quirks and eccentricities and even though I may not be terrified of the horror the character is experiencing, I do feel concern and interest in how things will turn out for them. I was especially take by Edgar and Wireman.
