From Amazon.com: The many readers who discovered C.S. Lewis's Chronicles through The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe will be delighted to find that the next volume in the series is actually the first in the sequence--and a step back in time. In this unforgettable story, British schoolchildren Polly and Digory inadvertently tumble into the Wood Between the Worlds, where they meet the evil Queen Jadis and, ultimately, the great, mysterious King Aslan. We witness the birth of Narnia and discover the legendary source of all the adventures that are to follow in the seven books that comprise the series.

This was a great book! I stayed up really late and read it all in one night (though it's not too long.) I actually read The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe first, then found the other 6 Chronicles of Narnia books, so this first book in the series was the 2nd that I read. This book was a prequel to The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, which explains how Narnia came to exist and how the wardrobe with the doorway between our world and Narnia came to exist. The young boy, Digory, in this book is the elderly Professor that the children live with in the 2nd book of this series.

I really enjoyed the book. As I only knew "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe", it was interesting to read how it all began. I'll mail the book to kotus123 tomorrow.
