I bought this at The Salvation Army Thrift Store because I knew I could release it for KateKintail's Books By the Numbers Challenge, and for my Crazy eights Release Challenge in August. After reading the first page, I realized I never actually read this classic, or anything else by George Orwell. I'm going to start it today.

This started out a bit slow but Winston meets the girl...I couldn't put the book down. I'm so glad I read this now instead of when I was younger. Thoughtcrimes, vaporizing, 2 + 2 + 5...! Quite disturbing at times - this will stay with me for a while.
