I originally bought this before I was "knocked up" myself and now my little one is 3. I assumed I was a hip mother but maybe not so much by Eckler's standards. Over all her book was amusing and funny but as a mother myself, I thought some of her behaviors and decisions were selfish. This of course, is completely my opinion and I did enjoy the book for the most part and did finish it.
