I enjoyed this, it was a good page turner but a bit disjointed at times. Good believable characters and 'unravelling' plot:-)
I found the ending a bit hurried and would have preferred this to have been the two thirds point of the book. The book created a good warm feeling and was a very good duvet day book.

Scottish Gran was my favourite character ;-)
I can see me picking up my knitting needles again soon..
Thanks for the ring..contacted Tuftynut and should be on its way this week.
Apologies for delay finally in post today ..been confined to barracks with a summer offering:-)

Very enjoyable made all the more so as I could read it in peace while on holiday with my sis (Bonnethillbunny). I loved all the characaters and it really did make me want to pick up my knitting, even more so when they visited Granny in Scotland. I was a little saddened by the ending though.

.........................................................................

I have passed this book on to Bonnethillbunny, but she may be unable to register it at the moment as they are having computer problems again, but I said I would let people know by this post. She has another book to read for her book group first and then hopefully will get to it next. Any problems to contact her please PM me.

I read this book over the weekend, and found it to be a great thing to curl up with in front of the fire away from the miserable weather. I enjoyed most of the characters, but agree with other journalers that Cat was very annoying (unfortunately, yes, I do think that people like this really exist). Scottish Gran was also my favourite!

I also thought that the ending was rushed, and the dialogue didn't really ring true for me in the "Mastering a complicated stitch" section (Chapters 17 - 21).

Overall, a good read. Thanks for sharing!

Posting on to Clairemagnolia today, so that she can finally read it herself...

Has it really been two years since I got this book??? Can't believe it's taken me so long to start it!

I agree with the previous comments re the ending and the favourite and least liked characters.

I enjoyed reading it all the same, an easy, captivating story that makes me want to get back to knitting too, but also I think reinforces the idea that if you are passionate about something, you will somehow get people interested in it, no matter how many preconceived ideas they may have about it!

Thanks to all the previous readers for passing the book on. I shall check who to send it to next as an RABCK!
