Journal Entry 1 by BizzieLizzie from Christchurch, Canterbury New Zealand on Thursday, March 20, 2003
Pre-numbered label used for registration.
This book was donated by BizzieLizzie to the mass release to be made by FutureCat, Mothercat and alpharae in Christchurch on Thursday 17 April 2003, in celebration of BookCrossing's second birthday. Watch this space!
Supposed to be part of the mass release on April 17, but I kept it back as it's an old favourite. I'm not sure if it originally belonged to Mothercat or Futurecat.

I like this one, but I guess it's time to set it free.

Picked up at the inaugral Christchurch Bookcrossing Convention. It is starting to look like I was just following alpharae around! I think I have read some Eddings before (David or Leigh?) so I figured I might enjoy this one. That fact that alpharae was hanging on to it as a favourite adds to my anticipation of a good read. I haven't read the companion volume (Belgarath the Sorcerer) but I am hoping that won't slow me down too much.
This book has been in my bookshelf for a while now. I have, for various reasons, not got around to picking it up but the other day I found Queen of Sorcery in a garage sale. I have finished and enjoyed that book so I am now about half way through this one and enjoying it, too. Sorry for the delay.
An enjoyable read. I haven't read all the books in the series so I did not necessarily know all the references, but it was written as a personable memoir covering several thousand years of history. It might be interesting to read a combarable history by Gandalf for Lord of the Rings - by comparison to Polgara he seems somewhat remote from humanity whereas this book bubbles over with it.
Sent as a RABCK to priceliss.
Thrilled to get the book and the little goodies that came with it. Read it years ago as part of a series, the other book was about her father Belgarath. If I understand it these two books were prequels to the Belgariad series, I may be wrong. Will add it to my tbr pile. Thank you gwilk for RABCKing it to me.

Thanks for sending this book to me for the free book table at the festival.
While taking it out of the box my Mum's partner Kevin spotted it and has put dibs on it for his bookshelf. Since the book has a bit of a history I'll look for another copy so he can keep the second copy on his shelf and I can get this one moving again.
