I acquired this book as it has been selected by my Bookclub to read this month. It has come highly recommended and I am looking forward to reading it very much.

I never did finish this book for bookclub and it's taken me this long (6 months) to actually finish it. Not sure what was wrong with it, but I just didn't like it. I am not particularly religous but I was uncomfortable having someone telling me what heaven was like but there was more than that - I don't know, not enough depth in the characters perhaps?! After all, there was only one character that we really got to know. A bit disappointing all round.

Well I finished it after putting it down a few times, not one of the best books I have read but at least I made it to the end.

I think this book is rather shallow, not a lot of characters, in fact only one person who goes from the start to the finish & the other characters are only brief encounters which made for a boring read in some places.

I think I need to pass this back to Blundery?
