Bought at Goodwill to read and release in the wild.
I started reading this in southwestern Pennsylvania, where the book is set, and finished reading it in Sunset Beach, North Carolina, whose weather seemed pretty similar to the Florida described by the main character: oppressively hot and humid. (Even with the weather, I must have been having too much fun on vacation to make a journal entry, because I actually finished reading this about a week ago.)
This is my first Tawni O'Dell book, and I quite enjoyed it. The prologue was very well written, full of action and emotion, and drew me into the story. There were moments of great sadness and great humor throughout the book. The characters were well-defined, memorable, and even surprising, with believable story lines and motivations. I'll definitely be on the lookout for more Tawni O'Dell books.
