I saw the author interviewed on The Daily Show ages ago and stuck this on my wish list at the time. Decided to use my Christmas book tokens to get this.

Stunning. I don't know what else to say really. You have to keep reminding yourself that this is not a work of fiction. This stuff is true. This person actually lived through this. These things are happening, and not just in Sierra Leone. It's tragic, it's moving, it's sickening, and it's an absolutely incredible story. There's a quote on the cover from the Washington Post which says, 'Everyone in the world should read this book.' I couldn't agree more.
