A Christmas present from the in-laws. Looks intriguing.

A bit of a page turner this one. It's been a while since I read something that was really just about the story, so I quite enjoyed the change of pace. However, it wasn't completely my thing unfortunately. Just a fairly bog-standard murder/mystery with a few real historical figures thrown in to add a bit of spice. In fairness, it did seem to have been pretty well researched, but like Ben Elton's book, 'The First Casualty', sometimes a desire to crowbar some interesting piece of research into the story kind of got in the way. The other book it reminded me of was, 'The Da Vinci Code'. It was nowhere near as bad as that, but did have a similar feel.
