Picked this up on our February 2008 PA trip.
I am sometimes skeptical about just how good the books on these 1001 Books You Must Read kinds of list are going to be. However, this was a great book!
The suspense I felt all the up to the end was intense. While I had some idea of what was going on with the lives of the Hailsham students, I felt as if I were in the same boat as they were in terms of being told, but not told about things.
This is definitely a recommended book, and I will likely pass this on to one of the many people that have added this to their wishlist.
