I'm finished and I must say I didn't think it was as good as people keep telling me. Yes, it was entertaining, and yes, the jokes and allusions are really good, but for me that's not enough for a 'good book'. Maybe this sort of thing works better in a movie? (I haven't seen this one yet.)
This book is now with a very good friend of mine who will read it. When he's finished it, I will put it back into the 1001-library so that it's available for more readers.

Hmm, I'm actually quite disappointed after reading this. I had high expectations, but they weren't met. It was funny sometimes and the story in itself seems like a nice idea, it just didn't work for me.
