Received the book yesterday. I will start reading it this weekend, hopefully.
Thanks for inkling1 for starting this ray and sharing the book with us. I will also PM the next BCer so I can send the book soon after I've finished reading it!

Well, I finished this book yesterday and I must say that it was a good read. I do enjoy the author's style - lots of description, slow-paced at the beginning, unfold quite fast towards the end, nothing's left out... The setting is not the usual ones we see in this type of novels but nevertheless, it was a good one! I won't say more about the story as I don't want to spoil the fun for the other readers in this ray :) Being the second book I read by P.D. James, I'll keep reading her books as they're part of the crime novels styles I like!
I mailed this book to the next BCer, seethroughfaith, today via surface mail. It should take between 4 to 6 weeks to reach Finland.

This arrived while I was on holiday ... so I am not sure how long it really took - but it arrived in good condition and looks a good read.
Thank you too Carelaisa for the lovely postcard of Quebec. I have never been there and it made me want to :)

This was a jolly good read even though murder mysteries aren't really my thing right now. --- So much intrigue and mystery- but most of all I enjoyed the insight into one arm of the church of England.
Posting the off to Hippolein tomorrow

Book arrived as a total surprise in Helsinki today. Didn't even remember that I had signed up for this ;-)
Only 12 books in row before this one ... well, will try to start it earlier than that anyway.

Finished this wonderful detective story with a special touch of Anglican priest formation on the side. Sorry it took a bit longer than expected, but I did have SO many other books at home that had arrived earlier.
Good nobody asked if I wanted to have to book at the moment it came available, I would have said to pass, and it would have been a pity to miss out on this book! Certainly an agreable read for in between the other rings.
Now waiting for the next address to send it on.

04.10. A pretty good detective story, though sometimes a little slow for my taste.

On its way to Romania.
On its way to Romania.
"Death in Holy Orders" reached me safely today. Thank you very much katacs, and for the beautiful postcard as well!
I must say I'm a bit daunted by the book's size. I fear I'm going to find something upsetting in it at page 20 and then I'll have to plod through the remaining 530 with increasing discomfort and despondency. I miss the days when mystery writers confined themselves to 200-250 pages and you could finish their books in an evening. Well, anyway, I'm starting "Death in Holy Orders" right away.
This is the first bookring book I receive. One of the reasons I joined a few bookrings was curiosity to see how a book would look after being read several times and traveling for months in the post system. This one is looking very good! Better in fact than many of the second hand books one sees in shops.
