Funny guy - extra copy. Enjoy!
controlled release at TOC luncheon
Not my favorite of his books, but still pretty good. Back to TOC tomorrow.
I read Me Talk Pretty One Day and thought enough of it to pick up this and add it to my TBR pile. Thanks for sharing.
I enjoyed Holidays on Ice and Me Talk Pretty One Day but somehow he just wasn't reaching me on this one. Maybe it was the name-dropping overdose in the first story that left me cold, I dunno.
I'll see if I can find a new reader - hopefully someone who will appreciate this book more than I did!

Sedaris' first book. There is a colelction of stories and essays, the only one of which I really enjoyed was The Santaland Diaries - it was this story that brought him to fame when he read it on NPR. The other stories made me uncomfortable, in one a child dies in a washing machine, the others have homosexual themes of various intensity, which in itself is OK, but not mainstream funny.
