Journal Entry 1 by Bean-Sidhe from Bonn, Nordrhein-Westfalen Germany on Sunday, January 20, 2008
He's a bloodsucking freak of nature. But, unlike other politicians, Ethan Carrick is actually a nice guy. Not to mention a very hot, wealthy casino-owning vampire. It's an election year for vampires, which means he'll first have to escape his opponent's hit men. Then he'll have to find a suitable First Lady, preferably here in Vegas …

Brittany Baldizzi fits the bill. She's smart, pretty – and sweeter than a glass of diabetic 0-negative. But her protective sister Alexis steps in with a message for Ethan: Bite me. It's then that he realizes it's the sexy, no-nonsense Alexis who raises his stake. And as much as she denies it, Alexis wouldn't mind a romp in the coffin with him. But can a mere mortal, even one who risks her life for him, make a centuries-old, womanizing vampire feel something entirely new?

Great, the book arrived here yesterday *phew*
Unfortunately I just started reading the American Gods, since delfinnetti is waiting desperately ;-) but I'll read the High Stakes right afterwards

Journal Entry 3 by Schneefee from Hagen, Nordrhein-Westfalen Germany on Tuesday, February 12, 2008
ahem, I skipped the American Gods and turned to the Vegas-Vampires almost directly after receiving the book.

Well, the first pages were strange somehow, but I really liked this one. Liked it more than Bit the Jackpot - because I simply like Ethan and Alexis more than Seamus and Cara. Maybe the my-mummy-the-stripper-story was a bit too much for an almost 300-pages-book, but you ought to speed up a bit when becoming aquainted, becoming a couple and getting married have to be done in only one week!

All in all I really appreciated this, and as soon as I pass a postbox I will mail the book to Annieselan. Thanx a lot, Bean-Sidhe!

Journal Entry 4 by Annieselan from Fulda, Hessen Germany on Tuesday, February 26, 2008
Yeah, the book arrived today and I´m really looking forward to read the first adventure of the Vegas Vampires. I liked "Bit the Jackpot" very much, because I liked Seamus & Cara, but I hope, I will like Ethan & Alexis also. :-)

Journal Entry 5 by Annieselan from Fulda, Hessen Germany on Friday, February 29, 2008
I´m done reading this book and I really liked it. I must admit I liked Alexis more than Cara from "Bit the Jackpot" because she was more like a real person, with all her flaws, her stubborness and her worries about her little sister.
But I still like Seamus more than Ethan. ;-)
The book is easy to read and I like funny romances a lot. Of course, Ethan & Alexis were doing some sort of speed-dating. At the beginning of the week they were total strangers and at the end of the week they were married.
I really would like to know more about Corbin, Brittany´s mysterious father and Ethan`s Sister Gwenna. Yes, I really like the Vegas Vampires! :-)

Thank you for letting me read this book, Bean-Sidhe. I enjoyed it a lot!

Just arrived 2 days ago, I can't keep myself from starting this one. Don't think, it'll take a long time to finish (c:

It's Monday and it didn't. I already startet the second one "Bit the Jackpot" and I like the Vegas Vampires. The men sometimes are a little helpless, the women bitchy - who want's more (c:
This story is about Ethan and Alexis, who have a very fast relationship. I think Seamus in part two will need longer, 'cause he's much more depressed.

Vampires flying again

Journal Entry 10 by Sao-Diego12548 from Köpenick, Berlin Germany on Tuesday, March 25, 2008
The rings have arrived in Berlin, I have one other on my TBR, but after that I'm already looking forward to these :)

Journal Entry 11 by Sao-Diego12548 from Köpenick, Berlin Germany on Monday, March 31, 2008
Read it fast and loved it. All else that I could say, had been said before: this relationship is damn fast yet in this case I don't really care much about credibility anyways ;D And I also am curious about Brittany, her father, Corbin and Gwenna...

I already asked for the next adress, the books should be on their way, soon.

Journal Entry 12 by Sao-Diego12548 from Köpenick, Berlin Germany on Thursday, May 1, 2008
Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!!
I just found the vampires - packed and all ready to go in a bag in the hal. I thought for sure, they had been on their way for weeks...
I'm so terribly sorry, I really don't know, how this could happen, I'm utterly confused about this...
Today - or if they don't fit in the box, tomorrow - they will defnitely be on their way!

Journal Entry 13 by Haltestelle from Groß-Umstadt, Hessen Germany on Tuesday, May 27, 2008
ok, finally the vampires arrived. But to tell You the truth, I´ve read some better vampire-chick-lit-storys. So I finished the first book and I´ll pass on the second one.
Right now asking for the next Adress.

Journal Entry 14 by wingdelfinnettiwing from Netphen, Nordrhein-Westfalen Germany on Wednesday, June 11, 2008
The books arrived save and sound yesterday. Thank you for the rings and sending the books. I´m afraid I will not be able to read them right away (though I´m tempted, but not tempted enough to carry them to mountaintops - I on hollyday, hiking next week). But I will read them soon (vampires never linger on Mount TBR).

Edit 09.07.2008:
I read the book yesterday and today in bed, down with the summer-flu. Nice and entertaining and above all easy and fast to read (I couldn´t have taken on anything complex). The second part will have to wait a little longer, there are rings in line with people after me... even so I´m quite interested how the story will continue is Alex sister going to meet the "scientist" again? Has Ethan been reelected (for another forthy years)? And what about our assassin - I think that is the most interesting question to me!

Edit 20.07.2008:
Paradize-Apple vioced her interest - the books will travell there as soon as part two is read.

I brought the books to the post today. They are on their way to ParadizeApple now. A wave in direction of Weingarten! Sorry it took me so long to read them. I´m quite keen to know how the story will continue. Thank you very much for letting me participate.

Journal Entry 16 by ParadizeApple on Tuesday, September 2, 2008
It's here, at last! (The other one arrived too, but is not here, because here at the moment is at work and I don't need more than one book a time there...um...) Waves to bean-sidhe and delfinnetti :-)

Journal Entry 17 by ParadizeApple on Wednesday, September 16, 2009
Sorry, I kept these tree for ever, I didn't realize they were rays. I know, in my profile I'm telling the whole world I'd love to read everything vampire, even as trashy as could be, but this series is too much, even for me. It's a simple, shallow and chauvinistic peace of work and I just couldn't get to the end of even one of it and I tried hard.
Awe, this feels like some nice times are really over now.....
Is it the end of the ray? Or may be so. else likes to read it?

Found at the annual BC meeting in Castricum. I took it with me for (one of) my daughters to read.

Journal Entry 22 by dutchbooky at Amsterdam, Noord-Holland Netherlands on Wednesday, July 25, 2012
Daughter #2 read this book. She liked this a little better than the other vampire book, but all in all it was a good read, especially if you want a light and funny story, without thinking about it too much.
