Wow this book is really disturbing at one point I put it down and wondered if I could ever pick it up and finish it but of course I did! Very well written but sick and twisted so I borrowed it to my mum who was having some R&R and figured someone else should be as weirded out as I was, anyway its back with me now and I feel a compelling urge to burn it but I will of course release it instead but be warned its not for the emotionally unbalanced!
Just arrived this morning, thanks Emqueen! :)
An interesting read but I found the end 'unsatisfying'.

A lovely surprise - thank you for the RABCK! I look forward to reading this, even if it does sound a bit sinister!

Disturbing, very disturbing, but also compelling. I think the most chilling aspect was that I could easily imagine a boy like Frank in the world, dispensing cruelty as he saw fit. As the critics say, an impressive debut.
Very strange, very disturbing, and very convincingly written. I agree a bit with Gyd that the ending seemed a little unsatisfying after the enormous build up. It seemed a little bit like Banks thought, "Enough already, lets just get this done." I'd still recommend it to others.
