'Airfields are as important to the history of Lincolnshire as coal mines are to the West Riding [of Yorkshire] or shipyards to the Clyde.' -- Ron Blake, Mike Hodgson, Bill Taylor

The Airfields of Lincolnshire is an excellent guide to the airfields of Lincolnshire.

Lincolnshire was very important during both the First and Second World Wars.

Part I covers the development of the airfields in Lincolnshire, Part II a guide to the individual airfields.

Harry Parkins was one of those who was based in Lincolnshire and his memoirs of Bomber Command during WWII make interesting reading
